Why Adaptive Optics?

The HartSCI family of adaptive optics technologies have been designed to provide diffraction limited sensing for small to large ground-based telescopes for operation in a broad range of physical conditions.

Removing Atmospheric Image Distortion

Nature isn’t kind when light passes through Earth’s turbulent atmosphere. Both transmitted and received light are disrupted by the dynamic turbulence between source and sensor. Given the enormous amount of information carried by light, the defense, scientific, and commercial communities are finding themselves increasingly reliant on adaptive optics to overcome nature’s roadblocks to meet their sensing challenges. 

HartSCI’s science and engineering team has three decades of collective experience in the research, design, development, integration, and use of adaptive optics systems, laser guide stars, and wavefront sensing technologies.

Developing Systems

HartSCI is involved in the full engineering cycle of adaptive optics systems and has worked on both the research and development of novel systems and the development of operational assets. Our systems may be operated using our own developed software suite or may be integrated into existing infrastructures.

Our team of skilled engineers and scientists has the capability to develop systems for commercial, scientific, or military partners and the lifetime cycle for new programs can be made to meet customer-driven milestones.
